Recognized under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, the agency functions under the guidelines of CARA with support from SARA. SAA ensures the safety, well-being, and holistic development of children while facilitating ethical and legal adoption processes.

The project works with 150 Anganwadi Centres and 150 Lower Primary Schools, reaching thousands of children through structured learning support, improved teaching practices, and community participation.

The project currently covers 51 intervention areas under five Development Blocks, with a focused thematic approach on health, nutrition, and education. Key interventions include maternal and child health, immunization, nutrition, child protection, school enrolment and retention, community awareness, capacity building, and advocacy.

Gramya Vikash Mancha is implementing the Spice Cluster Project in the Nagrijuli and Goreswar Development Blocks of Tamulpur District, BTR, Assam, to promote sustainable spice cultivation and enhance the livelihoods of marginal farming families. The project focuses on turmeric, ginger, chilli, coriander, garlic, cinnamon, bay leaf, and clove. The project aims to reduce poverty among 100 selected marginal households by increasing income through spice cultivation, establishing two model spice clusters, promoting quality organic spices, and strengthening community-based organizations.

The project supports 180 farmers through horticulture orchard development and 20 farmers through piggery-based livelihood activities. It also supports solar-powered irrigation, traditional water channels, elephant repellent systems, livestock-based livelihoods, market access and community institutions.

The programme provides training in sewing, stitching, and basic entrepreneurial skills. Selected women undergo a 9-day residential training and are supported in establishing their own Usha Silai Schools within their communities.

The project focuses on ensuring that children and adolescents in rural regions of Assam grow up safely, healthily, and with dignity, while their rights are respected, promoted, and sustainably protected. Through this project, 1,500 Children and Youth of 4 major Development Blocks, 13 Gaon Panchayats and 30 villages of Nalbari District are being reached.
